I like to think we have strong <I>influence</I> in our children's lives, but that ultimately, they are <I>His</I> kids. <BR/><BR/>There's a delicate balance to be struck between exercising our responsibility as parents, and allowing God to work. We are <I>active</I> agents, even as we are <I>receptive</I> to His care. There's kind of a trickle down effect: He parents us, we parent our kids. <BR/><BR/>Our empty nest has been surprisingly fulfilling. We know we've done our best, and we trust our children's heavenly Father will take over from here.<BR/><BR/>Congratulations to Joel!
