You know you live in Mayberry when your son asks for
the following menu for his birthday bash:

Pot of beans
Fried okra
Fried bread
Earthquake cake

We rounded it out with:

Corn casserole with jalapeños
Homemade applesauce
Canned pears
Festive cranberry salad

AND--G'ma Opal's Chocolate Pie

G'ma Opal herself couldn't come; she wasn't feeling very
well. But she stirred herself around enough to put
together the pie.

We finished the night off with two games of High Five.
Kent and Joel beat Mama and Hattie in both.
