You know you're from Mayberry when you are driving
down the gravel and Princess Daughter says, "Well,
(sigh)*, looks like the Crow Boys are down."

*There is a sigh that Mayberrians expel that is
unlike any sigh I have ever heard anywhere else.
It is very sharp and has a streak of humor that
runs right through it. Seriously, I would know
a person from Mayberry by that particular sigh
if I met them in Hong Kong.

now I have a stupid question, what is a Crow Boy? or who is a Crow Boy?

I know that "sigh" oh too well. For leftcoastonlooker and others... (hope you don't mind the explaination Laurie) In mayberry people are refered to as their last name, and for men when there are a group of them they are given an extra "boy" at the end. A "Crow boy" is simply a man with the last name of crow.

Thanks Jenn. Don't mind at all. Old Lady Crow lived down the gravel from me. When she died her old house became quite shack-like. Now her grandsons come from time to time and camp out in the house. So, when they come from The Big City to Mayberry, we say, "Oh look, the Crow boys are down."
